Validity Period Of The Certificate And Its Renewal:
11. Validity Period of the Certificate and its Renewal:
(1) The certificate issued pursuant to Rule 9 or 10 shall be valid for a period of up to Three fiscal years.
Provided that, the certificate of temporary press representative shall be valid only upto the time period for which it was issued.
(2) An application shall be submitted to the Director General to renew the certificate within Thirty-Five days after expiry the validity period of the certificate pursuant to Sub-rule (1) in a format as referred to in Schedule 14 along with Fifty Rupees as a renewal fee.
(3) If someone submits an application to renew the certificate after expiry of the validity period pursuant to Sub-rule (2), the Director General may renew the certificate upon charging the additional fee mentioned as follows including a fee as referred to in Sub-rule (2) :-
(a) Up to a period of Three months of date of expiry pursuant to Sub-rule (2) Rs.50/-
(b) Up to the end of Ashad month (about mid July) from the date of expiry pursuant to Clause (a) Rs 150/-
(4) If the certificate is not renewed within the period as referred to in Sub-rule (3), such certificate shall ipso facto be cancelled.
(5) A certificate obtained by a foreigner pursuant to these Rules shall not be renewed more than twice.
